“To Save a Language” tells the story of the endeavour to save an endangered Plains Indian language with the help of a language programme led by an Estonian linguist. The film follows the protagonist in his efforts to revive the language, including the difficult decisions he has to make along the way. It also highlights the role of language in shaping one’s identity.
