C36-IDA is a political video art work that addresses the consequences of forced disappearance on the architect Ida Vera Almarza, who was arrested on November 19, 1974, in Santiago, Chile, and has never been heard from again. The work revives one of her most emblematic architectural projects, about social housing in the utopian era of a popular government that ended abruptly and violently through a coup d'état on September 11, 1973. It is intended to be a record of a performance, in which the C36 housing project is materialized on a vacant lot in Valparaíso.
