Q'ochas Resilientes

Qochas Resilientes presents an effort to mitigate the effects of climate change within the altiplano community of Pucachupa, in the region of Puno, Peru. This experimental documentary follows students from MIT, UTEC, UNAP and Wellesley on a field site trip as they conduct community-engaged research to revitalize Qocha tradition, a practice of water storage and harvest used for time immemorial. This work envisions the co-design of resilience alongside community members as they navigate water scarcity and contamination through measures of knowledge sharing, finding voice, and community building.
