“It´s not that I don´t want to, but that I don´t feel I can be any better”

“It´s not that I don´t want to, but that I don´t feel I can be any better” is a short documentary that exposes the physical, mental, and emotional exhaustion experienced by medical residents in Argentine public hospitals. Through testimonies and intimate footage, it shows shifts of more than 24 hours, the pressure of making critical decisions without rest, the lack of resources, and the strain the system places on residents. In a context where burnout ceases to be simple exhaustion and becomes an internal fracture, the film makes visible the human cost of a training that is often experienced in silence and normalized as part of the process.
